6 AM:
Again the theme of the week 'every good day starts with an omelette' didn't change. We had an earlier start then yesterday, we were presenting first in the afternoon. The nerves were there but we were all very excited. We had a good session with our coach Roger last night, where we got detailed feedback and we decided to tweak our strategy.
Arriving at the UNIS campus: For the second round
We arrived to the university campus around 9:15, we put all our bags in the locker rooms and went straight up to the case preparation room. We then planned out our 'plan of action' where we layed out what structure we would go by. There were a lot of photographers around the campus, from stepping off the bus to prepping in the room. The excitement was building and we were eagerly waiting for the case to arrive.
The case: Asics
To our delight we got a marketing case, the atmosphere in the room changed, there was a positive vibe, the confidence was sky high. We then planned and wrote out everything from start to finish. The case was on Asics and we needed to create a marketing strategy for them going forward and for their 2020 vision. This is something we're good at and have practiced a lot at home so we knew we'd smash it.
Presentation Time:
We felt the we came up with a strong marketing strategy and felt we got the point across well but you never really know how well you do, because its always about your competition. As you can't view your competitors presentations it adds to the suspense and makes the wait that bit harder.
The result:
After we got our individual feedback, we had to wait 10 minutes to get our final result. We got told our strengths and weaknesses, which we will use to our advantage tomorrow. We got called in for the results and our final score was ....................
7-4 in our favour.
We are not safe yet, even sitting at the top of the table. Tomorrow is the big decider. Then we had our dinner at La Cayalan at Saul. The food was amazing and we got told the history about how the restaurant originally started. We are currently back in the hotel preparing for our 5am start.
